Opened in early 2012, Cafe Eire became the first Irish cafe/restaurant to feature on the Alien Bank. Naturally, it's a place which has intrigued many an expat so we headed along for lunch this week to have our say.

Hapjeong If Hongdae is where the arty party, then next door neighbour Hapjeong is where they recover. A maze of top notch restaurants and immaculately presented bars and cafes, this area is quirky without being contrived and exudes an overwhelmingly laid back atmosphere.

Line number 2 to Hapjeong Station.

Recognising that Hapjeong was one Seoul neighbourhood devoid of Mexican options, the owners of Hong Taco started their own venture in early 2010. Since then, the restaurant has gathered a loyal following by serving a range of fresh, tasty and well portioned dishes. The lunch specials are particularly good value for money. More >>
